How much would bearings cost for 2002 Kia Sportage?

I got an estimate of almost $2000(plus tax) to replace all bearings on my 2002 Kia Sportage at Kia dealership.





This seemed insane to me, so can anyone who knows about car tell me what the estimate cost would be?





Thank you!|||This would be something you would do face to face with a "machinist shop" that rebuilds engines. Not a dealership(for that is where they send the engine to to have the work performed). You have just cut out the "middle man". If it is wheel bearings, you could ask the machine shop the same thing again.


If it is muffler bearings = price seems like a deal but you want the old bearings.|||Yes ! What are the bearings for ? There is bearings all over a car for some thing or another !|||Wheel or crankshaft bearings?|||if wheel bearings , it ain't like the old days . they have to take apart half the front end wheel assembly . your estimate does sound high though . 1200 maybe , not 2k .

How do i hook up the subwoofer wiring in a Kia Optima LX?

Ok i'ver installed subs in many different cars. But i just bought a Kia Optima and i have no idea where to start? How the hell am i going to get to the plug-ins in the back of the stock stereo, if it is even possible to install subs to the stock stereo?|||You plug in RCA's with the same connection you use in ANY car. If you go to WAL-MART, they have a guide on hand that tells you what to use for the application you need. The connection usually costs about $10.

How many miles the Kia Sedona van last with good maintenance?

I am being offer a Kia Sedona 2002 Mileage 101,614 all power... great body and great interior, has not been in an accident, a/c works great.





They are asking $ 4,000.00 for it but I am no sure if the price is fair plus I do no know what is the life average for this vans provided we give good maintenance to it.|||It will last a lot longer than 101,000 miles. However you may have to spend some on maintenance in the next few years. That price is ok of the van is in nice condition.

How do you replace a motor for power seating in Kia Sedona 05?

I have an 05 Kia Sedona, and the motor for the power seating as died. It goes forward and backwards but does not recline or sit up. The seat is stuck in reclining position and I would like to repair it so i'm not laying down when i'm in the van. Any help would be appreciated!|||I would check the switch first...


Unfortunately, you cannot buy the seat motor separately. You must purchase the entire seat track and if memory serves me correct I think just the track with the motors costs around $800

How difficult is it to install subs in a kia optima?

I was thinking about buying 12" subs for my kia optima but I wanted to kind of get an idea of what I would be getting myself into before hand.

Does the 2004 Kia Sedona suppose to have doors that automatically lock when car is put into drive?

We have a 2004 Kia sedona, and the doors don't automatically lock when put into drive like other cars I have driven. We have to actually push the lock button to lock all the doors when we are driving. I have looked in the manual, and have found nothing. Thanks in advance!!|||According to the Kia Sedona web site, yes, it does--today, at least. In 2004, it may have been different. If yours aren't working, take it in; locking your doors is one of the easierst and best safety steps you can take, for several reasons. Owner's manuals are notorious for not telling you what you really need to know!|||On that year and model it does not have the automatic locks plus it cannot be programmed into the vehicles (ECM).......

How do I stop rear seat rattle in my Kia Sedona?

The third row rear seats in my 2007 Kia Sedona rattle and squeak. I've tried lubricating them, but the rattle continues. It doesn't make a difference if they are in the full up or down positions.|||i had this problem with one of my old Jeeps, and being the cheap b@stard I am, I took some putty (the blue stuff you stick papers to walls with), and put it between the two pieces of metal that were rattling together during acceleration. It worked for me... Or you could probably even fit some cardboard in there, depending on where it squeaks.
